On February 23-24, 2019, I will be participating in the Disney Princess Glass Slipper Challenge as part of the American Association for Cancer Research team. Over a course of two days, I will run a total of 19.3 miles. I will be running in honor of my mother whom we lost suddenly in February, 2017. Mom was the strongest person I have ever known, and she taught me many things. One of those was to try to make a positive difference in other people's lives. Mom did that every day of her life. For years she collected in her neighborhood for the Cancer Association as she lost both of her own parents to cancer.
Supporting the American Association for Cancer Research is very personal to me. In 2015, my cousin lost his fight with multiple myeloma at age 43, and left behind his wife and three beautiful young children. He fought his battle valiantly for two years. With your help, we can make a difference and assist the American Association for Cancer Research in finding cures for cancers like multiple myeloma so that others have a chance of living long happy lives.
By donating, you will help bring us one step further to finding cures for cancer. And, if you donate $25 or more, I will send you a dozen homemade chocolate chip cookies. If you donate $50 or more, I will send you the cookies plus a jar of my homemade raspberry jam. A link to my fundraising page is provided below.
